	Kobudo Grading We had our first kobudo grading on July 30. Dave Storey, Paul Rooney, Brad Ryan-Cook and Michael Magee all visited the Honbu dojo to be graded by Kancho Wong. At a kobudo grading each candidate has to perform the requirements individually. Kancho was suitably impressed and double-graded all four of them. Two of our other members have been learning kobudo from Sensei Jim Bishop for a lot longer than our four. Brian Martin and Andrew Boatfield both graded to shodan ho along with two more of sensei Jim's students. After the grading Kancho Wong took our guys through a separate session practicing the 'kobu no tenaka' kata.

	Kata Videos OnLine We have videos of most of our kata online. We have just added several new ones. All of the new videos were captured during gradings. The karate kata are performed by Paul Rooney and Toni Lousin and the kobudo kata by Brian Martin. The New kata are in our 'Members Only' area. Karate Jion (7Mb) and Sepai (8Mb) Kobudo Sushi no Kun (9Mb) and Koburyu no Sai (9Mb) There are more kata in our 'Members only' virtual Dojo. 	Members Area There is a 'Members Only' area on our website. Members who would like to access this area will need to ask us for directions. You'll need to know how to get there, and then you'll need a password to get in. As time progresses, we'll expand the members area to include details of more aspects of our curriculum. We'll publish details of the kihon and self-defence techniques that form part of our curriculum.
